About.We are
An independent Group called Voice hearers Belfast We are a self-help group that meets fortnightly where people who hear voices see images can come together to support one another and talk about their experiences and feel accepted. This is not a counselling group but a place for you to receive encouragement, reassurance and support. What you can expect A safe and private place where you can talk without fear of judgement. A group supported by one voice hearer and one non voice hearer. What we expect Nothing but Respect the confidentiality of the group Be responsible for your well-being on the group Respect other group members and their views |
our ethosWe accept that voices/visions are real for the person experiencing them. We believe that people are not any the less for experiencing voices/visions. We believe we are the experts of our own lives. We value ordinary, non-professional language. Members are free to interpret their experience in any way. Dealing with voice hearing and paranoia can be a long and difficult process but at least you know you are not fighting it alone. Welcome to Belfast Hearing Voices. |
Our GoalTogether we:
1 explore what we have in common 2 explore strategies to deal with voices 3 think about why we have voices 4 think about being well in general |
